How to Add Valocity Nexus to Your Mobile Home Screen

Adding Valocity Nexus to your mobile home screen allows you to access it quickly — just like a mobile app. Follow the steps below for your device type.

For Android (using Google Chrome)

1. Open the Chrome browser on your Android device
2. Go to nexus.valocity.co.nz. 
3. Tap the three-dot menu icon (⋮) in the top-right corner of the screen.
4. Select Add to Home screen.
5. You can edit the shortcut name if you wish.
6. Tap Add to confirm.
7. The Nexus shortcut will now appear on your home screen. Tapping it will open Nexus in its own window — just like an app.

For iPhone (using Safari)

1. Open the Safari browser on your iPhone.
2. Navigate to nexus.valocity.co.nz.
3. Tap the Share icon (a square with an upward arrow) at the bottom of the screen.
4. Scroll down and select Add to Home Screen.
5. You can rename the shortcut if desired.
6. Tap Add in the top-right corner.
7. The Nexus icon will now appear on your home screen. Tapping it will open Nexus in a dedicated window, similar to a mobile app experience.

⚙️ Allowing Pop-Ups to Open PDFs

Valocity Nexus opens reports and CMAs (PDF files) in new pop-up windows.
To ensure these open correctly:

On Android (Chrome):

1. Open the Chrome app.
2. Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) > Settings.
3. Go to Site settings → Pop-ups and redirects.
4. Make sure this option is Allowed.

On iPhone (Safari):

1. Open your iPhone Settings app.
2. Scroll down and tap Safari.
3. Under General, toggle Block Pop-ups off.

Once enabled, PDFs and reports will open as expected in Nexus.

💡 Tip

If the icon doesn’t appear right away, check that you’re using the default browser for your device (Chrome on Android or Safari on iPhone).
