# Nexus CMA Collaboration mode
## Nexus Collaboration, allows you and your colleagues to work togeter to get that listing across the line
### Overview
CMA Collab lets you work on a CMA with other agents in your agency. Everyone added to the CMA can open it from their dashboard, edit it, and present it.
The Owner label only appears on the Customise CMA step. Everywhere else, such as the dashboard, the CMA still shows Prepared By.
**Whose cover image, cover letter, PDF inserts, and page order are used**
- **The creator's.** Whoever created the CMA, their cover image, cover letter, PDF inserts, and page order are copied into the CMA when collaborators are added, or when a CMA admin changes the owner. If a CMA admin created the CMA, the CMA admin's are copied.
- **Changes to these in a shared CMA only apply to that CMA.** They don't change any of your other CMAs.
- If the CMA isn't shared and no CMA admin was involved in creating it, your cover image, cover letter, PDF inserts, and page order stay with you. Changes are saved and used the next time you create a CMA.
### Before you start
- A CMA can have up to 3 agents: you as the owner and up to 2 collaborating agents.
- You can only add agents from your agency.
- Only the CMA owner or a [CMA admin](https://kb.valocityglobal.com/help/cma-admins-explained?hsLang=en) can add or remove collaborating agents. A CMA admin is an agent with the CMA admin permission. Your Branch Manager or office owner usually decides who has it.
### Add collaborating agents to a CMA
1. Create a new CMA, or open an existing CMA and go to the Customise CMA step.
2. In **CMA Properties**, find **Prepared By**. You'll see yourself already added as the owner.
3. Turn on **Collaborate with other agents**.
4. In **Add an agent**, search for an agent by name and select them. You can add up to 2.
5. Drag the agents into the order you want. They appear on the CMA in this order, each with their own Meet your Agent page.
6. Select **Save changes**.
When you add collaborating agents, the creator's cover image, cover letter, PDF inserts, and page order are copied into the CMA. If you created the CMA, these are yours. Changes to them only apply to that CMA.
Newly added agents get an email when you save. It says you've added them as a collaborator on a CMA and has a **View CMA** button. Select **Reset** to undo changes you haven't saved yet.

### What collaborating agents can do
Collaborating agents have equal edit access to the CMA. They can add or select comparables, add notes, and add PDF inserts (up to the current limit of 10), just like the owner. They can also change the order of agents. Changes they make only apply to that CMA.
Only the owner or a CMA admin can add or remove agents or turn off Collaborate with other agents.
### Change the order of agents
The owner, CMA admins, and collaborating agents can change the order. Drag agents in **Prepared By** into the order you want them to appear on the CMA, then select **Save changes**.
### Remove a collaborating agent
Only the owner or a CMA admin can remove a collaborating agent. Collaborating agents can't remove agents.
1. Open the CMA and go to the Customise CMA step.
2. In **Prepared By**, select \[remove\] next to the agent.
3. Select **Save changes**.
After you save, the CMA no longer appears on their dashboard or in the appraisals section.
### Turn off Collaborate with other agents
Only the owner or a CMA admin can turn off **Collaborate with other agents**. Collaborating agents can't turn it off.
When you turn it off:
- Changes to the CMA are saved.
- The collaborating agents are removed from the CMA.
- The cover image, cover letter, PDF inserts, and page order stay with that CMA only.
- Only the owner and CMA admins can make changes after that.
### Open a CMA shared with you
When you're added to a CMA, you get an email with a **View CMA** button. Shared CMAs also appear on your dashboard alongside your own CMAs. You can also find them in the appraisals section of the property page. Select the CMA to open it in CMA Builder.

### Good to know
- Currently, Digital CMA only shows the owner's agent details. Collaborating agents aren't shown.
- Collaborating agents have equal edit access to the CMA, so they can add or select comparables, add notes, and add PDF inserts (up to the current limit of 10), just like the owner. They can also change the order of agents. They can't remove agents or turn off Collaborate with other agents.
- Changes made to the CMA while Collaborate with other agents is on only apply to that CMA. They won't update your other CMAs, draft or future.
- When you turn off Collaborate with other agents, the collaborating agents are removed and changes to the CMA are saved. The cover image, cover letter, PDF inserts, and page order stay with that CMA only.
- In a CMA that isn't shared, your cover image, cover letter, PDF inserts, and page order stay with you, and changes carry over to the next CMA you create.
- Anything already in the CMA is kept when you add collaborating agents.
- \] Images uploaded in a shared CMA stay in that CMA and won't appear in search results or on the property page.
### FAQs
**Which CMAs can I use CMA Collab with?**
Currently, CMA Collab is only available for Sales CMAs.
**Why can't I see the collaborating agents in Digital CMA?**
Currently, Digital CMA only shows the owner's agent details. Collaborating agents aren't shown.
**Can I add agents from another office?**
No. You can only add agents from your office,
**Why can't I add or remove collaborating agents?**
Only the CMA owner or a CMA admin can do this. Ask the owner of the CMA or a CMA admin.
**Can I add more than 2 collaborating agents?**
No. A CMA can have up to 3 agents, including the owner.
**Why do I see Prepared By on the dashboard and Owner on the Customise CMA step?**
The Owner label only appears on the Customise CMA step. Everywhere else, the CMA still shows Prepared By.
**What can a collaborating agent do on the CMA?**

**Will changes I make in a shared CMA carry over to my next CMA?**
No. Changes in a shared CMA only apply to that CMA. In a CMA that isn't shared, changes to your cover image, cover letter, PDF inserts, and page order are saved and used the next time you create a CMA.
**Can the other agents on the CMA see the custom images I add?**
Yes, but only in the shared CMA in CMA Builder. You'll still see your images in search results and on the property summary page, but collaborators won't. The images are only used in that CMA. Before CMA Collab, only the agent who uploaded them could see them.
**Why can't I change the owner?**
Only CMA admins can change the owner.
**Will collaborators know they've been added?**
Yes. They get an email saying they've been added as a collaborator on a CMA, with a View CMA button. The CMA also appears on their dashboard and in the appraisals section.
**What happens when a collaborator is removed?**
The CMA no longer appears on their dashboard or in the appraisals section.
