A series of UI/UX and functional updates that will improve the user experience with the Nexus filters.
💡 Motivation
We want to empower users to work faster and more confidently by making practical, high-impact improvements to the existing search filters — without overhauling familiar workflows. By enhancing key usability aspects, adding new selection options, and addressing pain points, we improve the precision, speed, and clarity of filtering on the Search Results page and in the CMA Builder.
These enhancements make everyday search tasks more efficient and intuitive, helping users unlock more value from the Nexus platform.
📌 Overview
As part of the New Search experience, we introduced targeted upgrades to the search filters on the Search Results page and CMA Builder, focused on:
- ✅ Renamed the modal from "Advanced Filters" to "All Filters" to better reflect its purpose and reduce confusion.
- ✅ Quick-select range options for commonly used filters – enables fast, one-click input without manual typing (Bedroom, Bathroom, Car Spaces, Floor Areas)
- ✅ ‘Any’ option and placeholder added to filter dropdowns – clearly shows when no selection is made, giving users the flexibility to leave filters unset.
- ✅ Land Area unit selector (m² / hectares) – lets users choose the unit they’re most familiar with.
- ✅ Owner search chip display fix – ensures owner search terms no longer appear in the All Filters Location input, which is reserved for street and suburb suggestions only.
- ✅ Mobile UX improvement – moved the Clear Filters button to the bottom of the modal on mobile for better accessibility.
- ✅ Sticky header and footer – the All Filters modal now includes a fixed header and footer for better usability. In the CMA Builder, the Apply and Clear buttons are pinned to the bottom of the screen and remain visible at all times.
- ✅ Search results counter – shows a live count of matching search results while adjusting filters, displayed in the bottom-left corner of the All Filters modal.
- ✅ Enhanced visual alignment – Location, Radius, and Zone buttons are now centre-aligned for better balance and clarity.
Together, these changes offer a faster, smoother, and more accurate filtering experience across key areas of the platform.
⚙️ How It Works
-
The filtering modal, previously called “Advanced Filters”, is now renamed to “All Filters”.
-
Users access the All Filters modal from either the Search Results page or CMA Builder.
-
Quick-select range options allow fast application of common values: Sale Price, Sale Date, Settlement Date, Decade/Year Built, Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Car Spaces, Land Area, Floor Area
-
Dropdown filters now include an ‘Any’ option and placeholder for clarity when no value is selected.
-
The Land Area filter supports m² and hectares toggle.
-
The modal features:
-
Sticky header and footer for easier scrolling and navigation.
-
In the CMA Builder, action buttons are fixed to the screen bottom for constant visibility.
-
A search results counter is displayed in the bottom-left corner, updating as filters are adjusted.
-
-
Owner search chips are restricted to their appropriate context, no longer appearing in the Location field.
-
On mobile, the Clear button is now at the bottom for better visibility.
-
Modal can be closed by the ✖️ icon or tapping outside.
