Overview
Filters in Nexus refine your search to focus on the properties or data you need. Whether you start from the All Categories view or the Address tab, filters narrow down results by property status, such as sold or for sale, as well as common attributes like the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, and floor area, among others.
When you run a search in Nexus, you may see hundreds of results. Instead of scrolling through all or running multiple searches, filters let you focus on specific attributes — for example, residential properties sold in the last 12 months in a specific suburb — in just a few clicks.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Start Your Search
The search panel appears on the homepage, search page, and within search results. 
- Ensure you’re on the All Categories tab.
- Type a suburb, street name, or property address — e.g., Caroline Springs.
- Select a suggestion from the dropdown.
- Nexus will load your search results.
💡 Tip: The All Categories tab performs a broad search across all data types.

Understanding Filters in Nexus
Nexus provides three levels of filtering. Each layer plays a different role, and all three can be used independently or together.
1. Search Options
Search Options determine the category of properties shown in your results.
You can select:

Withdrawn
Your choice changes which quick filters appear next.
Search Options in Detail
For Sale

Displays properties currently on the market that has active listing.

Includes quick filters for Listing Price and Listing Date.

Defaults to List view for easy comparison but can be changed to Card, Summary, or Map view using the View by dropdown.

The Listing Date filter defaults to the last 3 months, but you can modify it or enter a custom date range manually.
Withdrawn

Works the same way as For Sale, showing properties that have been withdrawn from the market.

Includes quick filters for Listing Price and Withdrawn Date.

Also defaults to List view, which you can change anytime from the View by dropdown.

Sold
- Works the same way as For Sale, showing properties that have been sold.
- Includes quick filters for Listing Price and Sale Date.
- Also defaults to List view, which you can change anytime from the View by dropdown.

💡 Tip: The Search Options dropdown controls what filters appear in the quick filter bar. Changing it updates the available filter fields instantly, ensuring you only see options relevant to your selected search type.

You can select from predefined options or type numbers directly into the fields for precision.
Quick Filters provide commonly used filters based on search options.
All Filters — Full Advanced Filtering Panel
Click All Filters to open the complete filtering modal. Here you can refine results using the full list of property attributes, including:
- Bedrooms / Bathrooms / Car spaces
- Land area & Floor area
- Year built
- Settlement date
- Street number & parity
- Radius
- Saved Zones
- Additional property attributes
Most fields include dropdown values, but you can also type specific numbers manually.
As you adjust filters, the live result count updates at the bottom — before you apply. After applying, filters that are not part of the Quick Filters appear as filter chips underneath the search bar.
Filter Counter Indicator

It highlights which filters currently have values set — helping you quickly identify that filters are active.

💡 Tip: If the counter shows a number, at least one filter is active.
Using All Filters in Nexus
Tabs include: Location, Radius, and Zones
Location
This tab lets you add more location-based attributes to refine your search.
Filter by Street or Suburb
Use this field to add an additional location on top of your original search term. You can type another suburb or street to further narrow your results — without needing to start a new search.
Radius
Pick a property as your centre point and specify a radius. Nexus will search for all properties within that distance, helping you analyse nearby listings and sales.
Zones
Draw a custom polygon on the map to define your own search area. Nexus returns all properties inside your shape and lets you save the zone for future searches.
