# Troubleshooting images and photos not showing

## Missing images for properties in CMA or elsewhere

#### Overview

This article covers what to check when property photos or other images fail to display in Nexus, whether that is on a listing, in a CMA, or in a shared report.

#### Quick checks

Work through these before logging a ticket, since most cases are resolved by one of the first three:

1. Not all properties have listings images, in which case we have an aerial image or as a fall back a google street view image of the property. If images were removed at source, we cannot keep these listings images on properties.
2. Users can upload and arrange own images when making a CMA for both target property but also the selected comparables.

 

#### If the issue is specific to a CMA or shared link

- Confirm the photos were actually attached to the property or listing before the CMA was generated. A CMA created before photos were uploaded will not pick them up automatically; you may need to regenerate it.
- Check that the image has not been removed or replaced at the source (for example, the listing photo was deleted after the CMA was built).
- If a vendor reports missing images on a link you shared, ask them to try a different device or browser before assuming the fault is with Nexus, since the same “clear cache” step applies on their end.
- Check the file size and format against Nexus's supported limits.
- Upload one photo at a time rather than a large batch if a bulk upload has partially failed, so you can identify which specific file is causing the problem.
- If a specific file consistently fails, try renaming it (removing special characters or very long file names) and re-uploading.

#### If the issue is on upload; when to escalate

Log a support ticket if images are missing after trying the steps above, and include: the property address or CMA reference, the browser and device you are using, and, if possible, the file name and format of the image that will not display.
