Valocity Nexus Release 4.1

09.09.2025 Nexus 4.1 introduces several enhancements aimed at making the platform faster, smarter, and more intuitive for valuers and property professionals

🌟Added Method of Sale

The Method of Sale is now available in Valocity Nexus. This is a key data attribute for agents and buyers, as it provides important context when reviewing or interpreting artefacts generated with Nexus NZ data. The Method of Sale can be viewed in the Market History section of the Property Summary page, as well as in comparable properties within the CMA Builder.

How it works

  • The Amount column has been replaced with a Details column, which now displays both the Method of Sale (where available) and the transacted amount.
  • Comparable properties (both Sold and For Sale) now include the Method of Sale as a new field, which is also editable.
  • The Method of Sale field is also available in Valocity Sales CMA long-form templates.

Why it matters

  • Better context for decision-making: Method of Sale shapes how pricing and sales results should be interpreted, giving agents and buyers clearer insights when reviewing data.
  • Improved comparables: By surfacing and allowing edits to Method of Sale in comparables, users can ensure more accurate like-for-like comparisons in CMAs.
  • Consistent reporting: Including Method of Sale in templates and property summaries provides consistency across artefacts, making reports easier to trust and act upon.
  • Reduced guesswork: Users no longer need to infer or assume the sale process from other details — it is clearly available and part of the record.

🌟Image upload upgrades

We have streamlined the image upload workflow in the Nexus app. Users no longer need to press an extra button to confirm cropping—simply select the crop area and click Upload. We also resolved an issue that affected users on iOS devices when uploading profile pictures.

How it works

  • The crop confirmation button has been removed from the image upload pop-up. Users select a crop area and click Upload.
  • The currently selected crop ratio is now visibly highlighted so users can easily identify which ratio is active.
  • For profile pictures, crop ratio selection has been removed; the crop is fixed to a 1:1 square while still allowing users to move and resize the selection.

Why it matters

  • The image upload process is more efficient and intuitive — users can crop and upload in a single step.
  • These refinements improve consistency and usability across devices, enhancing the overall Nexus user experience.

🌟Improving search results visibility

Filters are now easier to see, manage, and reset. With clear counters, visual highlights, and smarter tab behaviour, users can instantly understand what’s applied and adjust searches in just a click. The interface is cleaner, faster, and more consistent across all search tabs.

How it works

  • Added a filters counter on the All Filters button, allowing users to see the number of filters applied in the search results and on CMA Builder.
  • Quick Filters and All Filters now show an outline when values are set, giving a clear visual cue.
  • Buttons redesigned and unified: Save Search now has an outline style and is moved to the right; a dedicated Clear Filters button makes it easy to reset searches in one click.
  • Smarter search tab behaviour: switching tabs now reloads the last search results for that tab, or shows a clear message if no search has been run yet.

Why it matters

  • Users immediately know which filters are active, removing guesswork
  • Searches are faster and easier to refine, saving time
  • A consistent, polished experience makes the platform more intuitive to use

🌟Re-arrange order of elements in Customise CMA

Update the template selection to be the first element on the customise CMA page.

How it works

When you land on the customise CMA page now, the first section you are greeted with is the template selection.

Why it matters

This slight re-ordering improves user efficiency, and the current user flow can lead to confusion, as some fields are only displayed based on the selected template.

🌟Update Rental CMA fonts and sizes throughout

We’ve updated the typography across the Rental CMA long form to ensure all text follows our branding guidelines and presents consistently from top to bottom.

How this works

  • Typography styles were standardised so the same font tokens and sizes are applied throughout the document.
  • Minor spacing and line-height adjustments were made to improve legibility and visual hierarchy.

Why it matters

  • Improves readability and makes long-form reports easier to scan.
  • Ensures all stakeholder-facing material is brand-consistent and professional.
  • Reduces layout surprises when generating or exporting the document.
Continuing the work on the Sales CMA, which will be released in the next release.
